My best guess at what it'll be, assuming it's somewhat Coyote based.
I'm using Automation. It's an awesome game/simulator for building engines and cars. After seeing the reveal of the new GT350 I had to try and figure out the 5.2l FP V8 on Automation. So here goes:
Base Coyote specs:
- 92.2mm x 92.7mm Bore and Stroke
- 11.0:1 Compression Ratio
- DOHC
- 7000rpm redline
435hp@6500rpm 400lbft@4250rpm
Automation has limits for what it can adjust. For example I was able to change the bore and stroke, compression ratio, exhaust setup, cam aggressiveness, AFR, fuel octane ration, and redline. There's tons more that will come into play with the actual engine like head porting/flow, intake plenum length, and more, but here's what I've changed in this simulation:
- 93.7mm x 93.7mm Bore x Stroke (for the extra 0.2l)
- More aggressive cams
- 11.2:1 Compression ratio
- Premium Fuel
- Cold Air Intake
- Headers w/dual 2.25" Outlets
- 8200rpm redline
The results:
I think we'd all be happy with that. It'll be interesting to see how close this is to the real thing.

I can't wait for the full version to come out. So I can build a 21 liter V16.

I need to get the 'automation' thing

Do it, so perfect for burning hours and hours of time you ought to spend doing other things.

I'm building a 1 liter septuple over head cam, 56 1/4 valve, hyper-dimensional plane crank , 17.5 degree V19. Should be pretty sweet.

What was the change in reliability numbers?
Also for some reason I always end up building the same engine in the game no matter what scenario.

Last update they said it would be soon, I wanna say it said before the end of the year, but I'm too lazy to go back and find out.

I'm still waiting for the wheel hub mounted Napier Deltic opposed-piston engine option so that I can finally finish my body-on-frame four-wheel drive Kei-car sedan.

I still haven't downloaded the game on my new Surface and/or laptop. I created so many awesome things. I was actually planning to re-install it but forgot. I spent 30 bucks on it and haven't played it for a few months...
By the way, the 5L's increase in displacement came from bore alone. Those numbers seem pretty realistic though. I'm expecting just a bit less then that. Automation has always been fairly accurate. There's also a lot of unknowns with this new engine. Cool build though! I've gotta get the game now.

I haven't read any specifics on how displacement was increased, where'd you read about solely the bore increasing in size? And yes, you definitely do

Right here in the interview with Jamal. There's also lots of interesting information.

Woah, that write up is the best yet. Interesting that there's no dry sump..would've expected that in a car with such a track focus, not a big deal though I suppose.

Ya, with the lower hood I expected a dry sump, but oh well. We can't complain can we? They already did so much with this car.
